How Quickly Can ERP Be Implemented Into The Cloud? Find Out In New Video
A cloud won’t carry a storm until each of the right elements are integrated and in place. But as any good storm-chaser knows, these elements can come together with extraordinary speed. Can we say the same about our virtual cloud when it comes to implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)?
While the importance of ERP implementation may capture the buzz, what is often not discussed is the speed in which this integration should take place.
Recently my company, To-Increase, was challenged to maximize the value of ERP in the cloud by completing a full Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP implementation -based on templates specific to the machinery industry – in 30 minutes or less. You can see the results of this test by requesting our latest video, via the form to the right.
While the speed of implementation is impressive, as is the ability to integrate with the cloud in and of itself, the primary goals of ERP in the cloud are far more fundamental: overcoming industry complexities and achieving ROI.
Take the machinery vertical, as illustrated in our video. Key drivers for implementing ERP into the cloud could be defined as:
- Complexity and dynamics of business
- Increased competition
- Growth aspirations
and of course: - Emphasis on ROI
This means that ERP in the cloud must support:
- Reliable, repeatable industry-specific solution sets
- Data confidentiality, integrity – and most importantly- availability
- Rapid implementation, training and information sharing
and of course: - Ability to efficiently cope with the processes and dynamics of an ever-changing market, and efficiently connect processes and people with bottom-line results
Ultimately – containing ERP in the cloud is, like the coming together of the elements that produce a thunderstorm, a process that is far quicker than we may realize. But just as the outcome of a storm is its defining factor – far more so than the speed with which it comes together – the bottomline results of ERP / cloud integration are what define its success.
And it’s bottomline results I encourage you to keep in mind when watching our video – especially when you see just how effortless and seamless implementation and integration can truly be.
